Three Michigan breweries won multiple awards at the 2022 New York International Beer Competition that took place in February. There were over of 700 beer submissions from 15 different countries that spanned more than 30 beer categories.

The process for the New York International Beer Competition consists of trade-buyers as the judges for this competition. Their vote is blind in order to determine which beers are awarded a medal. There are four medal awards:
- Double Gold – Phenomenal Product (must be a unanimous decision)
- Gold – Buyers “love” it
- Silver – Buyers “like” it
- Bronze – Buyers would repurchase it
Within the medal awards are categories for beer style and price point.

- Silver – American-Style India Pale Ale, $10-Less – The Zephyros Hazy IPA
- Bronze – Belgian-Style Witbier, $10-Less – PollyAnn Witbier
- Michigan Ale Brewery of the Year
Redwood Brewing Co (Flint)
- Gold – German-Style Brown Ale/Dasseldorf-Style Altbier, $10-Less – Redwood Altbier
- Silver – German-Style Märzen, $10-Less – Oktoberfest
- Bronze – Belgian Style Pale Strong Ale, $11-15 – Belgian Golden Strong
- Bronze – German-Style Kölsch/Köln-Style Kölsch, $10-Less – Kolsch
- Michigan Brewery of the Year
Third Monk Brewing Company (South Lyon)
- Silver – Bohemian-Style Pilsener, $10-Less – Czech Pils
- Bronze – American-Style Brown Ale, $10-Less – Poets Endless Revision
- Michigan Pilsner Brewery of the Year
