Welcome back to the New Michigan Beer Labels series!
After a small hiatus, this monthly installment is back for December 2024!
All of the beer labels featured here are available for the public to view on the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) website. You can spend your time figuring it out or you can check out our monthly highlights. Check out past beer label posts here.
We always like to note that TTB approved labels are not guaranteed to be on shelves in the immediate future or even at all. Breweries need to have labels ready if they decide a beer is a go for packaging and distribution. There may be a multitude of reasons to release a product or not. We’ve opted to showcase beer labels that we find fun and interesting. The purpose of this post is to start a conversation about what could be on the horizon in the Michigan beer scene.
This month’s highlights include labels from Arvon Brewing Co, Bell’s Brewery, Greenbush Brewery, Les Cheneaux Distillers, Odd Side Ales, Pigeon Hill Brewing Company, Saugatuck Brewing Co, and Short’s Brewing Company.
December’s Featured Beer Label
December’s Featured Beer Label is from Odd Side Ales in Grand Haven, MI. With the holiday near, we were searching for a snow or holiday-themed beer label. Odd Side’s label checked both of those boxes with a nod to the classic 1983 movie A Christmas Story. This label is for an Imperial Barrel Aged Stout with Dutch Cocoa Powder. I bet this would warm you up no matter what the weather is outside.
Which label is your favorite?
