Pointless Brewery

Tucked into a strip mall at the corner of Packard and Platt, you can almost miss Pointless Brewery and Theatre. I’m not going to lie, I’m really glad I didn’t. From the moment I walked in I was welcomed. Something that I noticed was pretty standard as I nursed my stout. This is a much smaller place and the beer almost seems an afterthought to the stage. But I would not underestimate the beer. While I went for the stout, they actually had a pumpkin apple ale that I thought was fantastic. Good flavor, nice balance on the spice. Yep. I just praised a pumpkin beer. Who knew? Anyways… pointless has a pretty neat background story. Really. You should check their website for the story and their schedule of events. For a tiny place I was impressed with the staff, the beer and the enthusiasm of the patrons I met while I was there. While I’m personally not big on the improv thing, I wouldn’t mind going back to watch a show and see the theater portion in action.

I love that each brewery has its own unique personality. Sometimes, they fit with yours and sometimes they don’t. You have to admit though, it’s a whole lot of fun trying to find the ones that do!
