As we keep weaving in and out of Wisconsin on our trip, we have finally reached the brewery that is the furthest South in the Upper Peninsula. Allow me to present to you, Three Bridge Brewing Company of Menominee, Michigan. They opened in 2018 and have been serving beer to Yoopers, Wisconsinites, and thirsty tourists ever since.

When you walk into the brewery one of the first things that you will notice is their wall of ceramic mugs for their mug club members, and if you don’t notice them on the wall you will definitely see a few locals drinking out of them while you are there.

The bar is a divided bar, with two separate sections to the bar, each section seats approximately 6 to 8 people at it. There are a few tables scattered along the taproom for you and your friends to hang out and catch up at while enjoying a few pints. They also have an outdoor biergarten with quite a few tables for your drinking experience. This is also where they hold their yearly Oktoberfest celebration.

Three Bridge also hosts live music on occasion, check on their Facebook page before you visit to see if they are hosting an event. They do not have a kitchen at Three Bridge Brewing Company, but they do host food trucks pretty regularly. In the event that there is no food truck, outside food is always welcome. The brewery is closed on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays so plan your trip accordingly.

Options for alcoholic beverages outside of beer include Seltzer, and various wines. For your friends that abstain from drinking, they do offer house made Root Beer and Ginger Ale.

Now we have come to the part of the review where we get to talk about the beer. They do have quite a few taps operating at all times. They seem to have approximately 12 to 15 options on the tap list most of the time. We ended up getting our flight and it consisted of Excursion Zone- IPA, Sky Kettle- Marzen, Trail Magic- Stout, Fountain of Youth- Fruit Beer, and The Barbarian- Winter Ale.

The best beer that we tried on our flight was the Stuttgart Helles which was a light Helles Lager that was Light-bodied with a little bit of malt presence. It had a bready and floral taste to it, and it finished very smooth. This beer hit the ABV scale at 4.7%, so if you feel the need to treat yourself to a few of them, this beer is very sessionable and will allow you to do that.

On your beer trip through the Upper Peninsula, if you feel like heading to the Southernmost brewery in the Superior region without actually going into Wisconsin Swing on into Three Bridge Brewing Company in Menominee and grab yourself a pint or two. A ta Sante!
