The Detroit Fall Beer Festival took place on Saturday, October 19, 2024. We couldn’t have asked for a better day. The sun was shining, there was a small breeze, and it was comfortably warm. The 15th iteration of the classic fall festival was put on by the Michigan Brewers Guild, and happened in Eastern Market.

Prior to the festival, I scoured the Beer List and put together our the 20 Beers to Check Out at the Detroit Fall Beer Fest list.

We at Better on Draft had four of our teammates on site to sample and socialize. It was great to see and meet so many beer loving friends. One of the podcast’s co-hosts, Rob, even dressed like a pickle!

Ed Norton

Edwin "Ed" Norton was first introduced to craft beer when his designated fraternity Big Brother Vince asked him if he knew anything about the topic. Ed admitted his ignorance and the rest is history as Ed and Vince would split six-packs of craft beers each week during Ed's probationary status. Ed is now a craft beer enthusiast who is always on the lookout for a beer he has not tried when bottle shopping or drinking at breweries and bars. In addition to drinking beer, this livelong Michigan resident enjoys a bunch of hobbies that he doubts you really care about, other than drinking beer and sounding off about it.
