The Greater Lansing Brewers have returned with a beer trail. This time around it has a new name and length!

The popularity of the beer trail has been growing over the years. Since 2021, there have been two trails per year with one in February and then another in August or September.

This year there was a bit of uncertainty when there was not an announcement for August or September. My phone started blowing up! “There’s no trail! There’s no trail!”

Rest assured, friends. The trail is back this fall and it begins on September 13 and runs until October 31!

Yep, you read that right. This beer trail is a month-and-a-half long! The brewers group has renamed the trail into the “Beer Tour” and is leaning into the spooky vibes with their logo it.

The 11 breweries participating in the Fall 2024 Greater Lansing Beer Tour are:

  • BAD Brewing Company (Mason)
  • Boss Cider (Leslie)
  • BrickHaven Brewing Company (Grand Ledge)
  • ConfluxCity Brewing Company (Portland)
  • Dimes Brewhouse (Dimondale)
  • EagleMonk Pub and Brewery (Lansing)
  • Lansing Brewing Company (Lansing)
  • Looking Glass Brewing Co. (DeWitt)
  • Ozone’s Brewhouse (Lansing)
  • Sanctuary Spirits (Grand Ledge)
  • Sleepwalker Spirits and Ale (Lansing)

Participants can pick up a card at any of the participating breweries. During each visit to a brewery, they need to buy a “full pour” and get their server to sign and date the card. Once their card is filled out, it can be turned in for a prize – a long sleeved shirt!

According to their Facebook page, the Greater Lansing Brewers are “an organization of Lansing’s craft breweries” that aim “to grow and reach more people with delicious beverages.”

The Michigan Brewery Map app is the best way to check out the breweries before actually checking them out. With accurate locations, links to social media accounts, and a place to keep personal notes, this app is ideal for everyone interested in finding and visiting Michigan breweries.

See you on the tour!

Ed Norton

Edwin "Ed" Norton was first introduced to craft beer when his designated fraternity Big Brother Vince asked him if he knew anything about the topic. Ed admitted his ignorance and the rest is history as Ed and Vince would split six-packs of craft beers each week during Ed's probationary status. Ed is now a craft beer enthusiast who is always on the lookout for a beer he has not tried when bottle shopping or drinking at breweries and bars. In addition to drinking beer, this livelong Michigan resident enjoys a bunch of hobbies that he doubts you really care about, other than drinking beer and sounding off about it.
