The Brewers of Indiana Guild announced the fifth round of participating breweries for the 2023 Winterfest earlier this week. The beer festival is scheduled to be on Friday, February 10 and Saturday, February 11 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.

Tickets are still available for purchase here and are going fast. There was a price increase on January 1, so if you’re chatting with your friends who already have tickets there may be a difference in price between what you pick up now and what they picked up earlier.

Better on Draft attended the festival back in 2020 and provided preview and post coverage. We’re expanding our coverage this year as we are noticing differences between how the Brewers of Indiana Guild and Michigan Brewers Guild do things with their festivals.

The Guild recently announced there will be over 80 breweries in attendance, so be on the lookout for more announcement posts.

We also noticed that different brewery locations are attending separately from each other. We do not see this happening in Michigan breweries with other locations attend, such as Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales. At a Michigan festival there is one Jolly Pumpkin booth/tent instead of one for each of the other locations. Interesting…

Check out the breweries announced in the first, second, third, and fourth rounds!

Here is the fifth round of participating breweries for the 2023 Winterfest:

  • Black Dog Brewing Company (Mooresville)
  • Byway Brewing Co (Hammond)
  • Civilian Brewing Corps (Spencer)
  • Centerpoint Brewing Co (Indianapolis)
  • Creatures of Habit Brewing Co (Anderson)
  • Hop River Brewing Company (Ft Wayne)
  • St. Benedicts Brew Works (Ferdinand)
  • Sun King Brewery (Indianapolis)
  • Sun King Brewery-Fishers (Fishers)
  • Sun King Brewery-Kokomo (Kokomo)
  • Westwind Brewery Co (Elkhart)
  • Zwanzig Brewing Co (Columbus)

Which brewery are you looking forward to?

Cheers!

Ed Norton

Edwin "Ed" Norton was first introduced to craft beer when his designated fraternity Big Brother Vince asked him if he knew anything about the topic. Ed admitted his ignorance and the rest is history as Ed and Vince would split six-packs of craft beers each week during Ed's probationary status. Ed is now a craft beer enthusiast who is always on the lookout for a beer he has not tried when bottle shopping or drinking at breweries and bars. In addition to drinking beer, this livelong Michigan resident enjoys a bunch of hobbies that he doubts you really care about, other than drinking beer and sounding off about it.
