Welp. All summer beer festivals have been canceled due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.

While I understand the reasons for not having a festival, I will miss the traveling, meeting new people, and tasting a variety of beers. I know that the first festival after all this is said and done will be magical.

In lieu of the summer beer festivals, including the Michigan Brewers Guild Summer Beer Festival in Ypsilanti, Great Taste of the Midwest in Madison, WI, and Burning Foot Beer Festival in Muskegon, I will be celebrating with my own party with the Summer Clean 15 Festival of Beers.

Similar to the Spring Clean 15 Festival of Beers, I went through my stash of beer and located 15 new-to-me beers that I have never tasted before. It’s also worth noting that there are not any duplicates between the spring and summer festivals. Also similar to the spring festival, I will be sampling 5 oz the beers listed.

Check out the beers that I will be sampling from. Each day’s beers are in order of how they will be tasted:

The festival will take place at the end of July.

Cheers!

Ed Norton

Edwin "Ed" Norton was first introduced to craft beer when his designated fraternity Big Brother Vince asked him if he knew anything about the topic. Ed admitted his ignorance and the rest is history as Ed and Vince would split six-packs of craft beers each week during Ed's probationary status. Ed is now a craft beer enthusiast who is always on the lookout for a beer he has not tried when bottle shopping or drinking at breweries and bars. In addition to drinking beer, this livelong Michigan resident enjoys a bunch of hobbies that he doubts you really care about, other than drinking beer and sounding off about it.
